Imagine you’re on school camp, things go wrong and you end up out in the bush, possibly lost, certainly worried… What will your character do? In this workshop we use the play Compass by Jess Bellamy as inspiration for a collection of monologues. The students will read sections of the play, examine character, dramatic structure and dialogue, then use details and characters from the play as a starting point for their own writing.
