Aside from being one of our incredible volunteers who has been on the team since the beginning, and regularly leads our orientation sessions for new volunteers, Suzanne is also a terrific teacher!
She teaches at Monte Sant' Angelo Mercy College in North Sydney, teaching English and occasionally French. She is passionate about language, literature and learning, and thrives on the energy that she feels in a classroom when students are thinking and challenging ideas.
What she loves most as a teacher is the opportunity to help shape students into ethical, creative and inquiring adults who will make the world a better place.
The Sydney Story Factory Pen to Paper Challenge this month also reignited her interest in writing, and she hopes to have two stories to share with her students when Term 4 resumes.
Suzanne - you're an inspiration not only to your students but to us as well, thank you!
