Colour Poem: Untitled
By Alice
Written as part of We're Writing to Say
Black and white as a magpie
Looks like darkness, and paper
Tastes of rice and caviar
Reminds me of my favourite shade
Yellow is happy
Feels like grainy pollen
Looks like the hot sun
Tastes of butter, soft and spread
Reminds me of buzzing bees.
Red is an angry devil
Feels like sticky tree sap
Looks like wet, fresh blood
Tastes of a smooth crunchy capsicum
Reminds me of the time my brother made me angry.
