Colour Poem: Untitled

By Asal

Written as part of We're Writing to Say

Yellow is the sparkle of the sun
Feels like listening to the song “Happy”
Looks like the perfect detail on a dandelion
Tastes of the nice pop of candy corn
Reminds me of the fluffy taste of marshmallow peeps

Green is nature that sounds and moves
Feels like the stickiness of slime
Looks like the emerald on your hand
Tastes of the revolting taste of spinach
Reminds me of the jingle bells in Christmas1

Purple is the aroma of the lavenders
Feels like slippery, pealed grapes
Looks like the fluffy bit of the lavender
Tastes of the crunch of purple cabbage
Reminds me of purple fashion.
