Gemini
By Tinoosh
The detective walked into the crowded office; it was bustling with noise.
People were running around, papers were scattered all over the floor, and he
could hear yells through the thick atmosphere of the room. It was an absolute
mess. The detective could tell that there was a new case in town, and every
detective on that block was practically bursting into flames to get it. The office
was now a battlefield for him to get through.
He knew that by the time he reached his shared office, he would
have to have a look at the case too. He could almost imagine his journey to
the office, people hitting swords against swords, steel to steel, the sounds
of murderous screams and curses being thrown left and right: a battlefield
indeed. He manoeuvred past the excited and obnoxious people as he stealthily
made his way towards his office, trying not to spill his coffee and drop his
files.
