I Am

Written as part of Sunset in My Heart

I am,  the trip to Iran, seeing family and friends was a memorable childhood

I am, the fresh roses of nature

I am, a long, baggy jumper that hides my insecurities

I am, a turkish chicken wrap with barbecue mince, 

I am, the shades of the colour nude

I am, the light of my twin brothers faces

I am, the sound of the waves crashing towards each other

I am, a soft and fluffy blanket

I am, a silent and confident woman. 

 

Beauty and awe of sunsets witnessed through the love of the evening 

 

Someone I was in the past was when I achieved something that was difficult and challenging in terms of the covid 19 pandemic lockdown. I felt like I was stressed, so I began to walk every evening as the sunsets in the beautiful nature and beautiful breeze of air. For my health and interest, I walked, jogged and ran. This was the moment that made me feel relaxed, as it let out all my stress from the overload of studying or work, as well as the happiness to be healthy. Witnessing the beauty of the sunset, as exploring nature and landmarks while walking brings happiness. As walking with my friends decrease my anxiety and let loose bad intentions as thoughts.

 

The days become weeks, and the weeks become months and then months turn into years. At each period in our lives we value slightly different things, something I value in the present in waking up early in the morning, having my homemade coffee, and completing my work at the balcony, where nature can be seen through my eyes. I discovered this when we started lockdown. This is an important thing for me because this has helped me with my wellbeing and stress. As during lockdown I would always be stressed in terms of overload of work and studying at the same time. During lockdown I learnt things like growth mindset, decreasing stress and anxiety.

 

In a growth mindset, people realise that they have an advantage of changing and growing their most basic abilities, like intelligence and talent, through effort and dedication. Some of the most important things to me that will never change are being a high achiever, love to drawing, loving to have a cup of strawberry yoghurt and a cup of coffee. The things that make me a high achiever are intense studying, focusing in class and comprehending in all subjects for knowledge and success.

 

Someone you were in the past

Someone I was in the past when I was totally relaxed, achieved something that was difficult or challenging is that during lockdown I felt like I was gaining weight, so I began to walk every evening for 2 hours. I started to walk in the park by nature and a beautiful breeze of air. Every evening during lockdown I walked, jogged and ran for my health and interest. This was the moment that made me feel relaxed, let out all my stress from studying and happy to be healthy. A thing that interested me while I was walking is that I love exploring nature and landmarks, especially while walking I like to see people walking and I imagine or interpret how their life is and what they do. As walking with my friends decrease my anxiety and lets loose bad intentions or thoughts.

 

Something that you value in the present

At each period in our lives we value slightly different things. Something I value in the present is waking up early in the morning, having my home made coffee and completing my homework at the balcony. I discovered this when we started lockdown. Something that will never change

Some of the most important things to me that will never change are being a high achiever, love of drawing, love of having a cup of strawberry yoghurt and a cup of coffee. Being a high achiever makes me proud of myself and happy, as to where I brought myself. The things that make me a high achiever are intense studying, focusing in class and comprehending with all subjects.
