Wafa, that’s my Name

By Wafa, Year 9

Written as part of In-school Program

I’m kind, caring, goofy, funny and sometimes shy

I cannot walk without smiling at people walking by

I want to be confident, brave and interactive

Wafa, that’s my name

I can be quite competitive when playing games

I try my hardest to always have a smile on my face

because everyone deserves a smile, that’s what I always say

Through all the obstacles of this year that stressed this girl,

my earphones allowed me to dive into my own world.

My earphones gave me the opportunity to thrive and vibe.

What I loved most about them

was that it was the noise they would hide.

When I wore my earphones,

I experienced different moods.

I was lazy, crazy and the opposite of good.

My brother went wild

My little sister was a child

But luckily I had my earphones to save me

They set me free

Thank you earphones

I’ll never forget.
