Cultural Competence at The Rocks, with John Blair

  • MCA (Harbourside Entrance) 140 George Street The Rocks, NSW, 2000 Australia (map)

Our Storyteller John Blair is conducting a two hour cultural and historical exploration and talk in and around The Rocks and Circular Quay. We'll start with an Acknowledgement of Country, then make our way around the area learning about Aboriginal plants, history, ceremonies, animals, significance of places and much, much more. We'll be starting at the Museum of Contemporary Art Harbourside Entrance, and wrapping up there as well in the Discovery Museum (which we'll also visit). Please note that there will be quite a bit of walking on this tour, including stairs and short climbs to look out points. We will also go ahead even if it's raining (just bring an umbrella!). If you're on a scooter or other assisted transport, you can still join in - you will just be taking a couple of shortcuts to avoid stairs. The last time we ran this our inboxes were flooded with excited praise afterward, so it's one not to miss.
