All workshops are facilitated by our Story Factory Storytellers and provide a safe and supportive space where young people can develop ideas and write. Guided by our expert staff, with support from their fellow writers, young people are empowered to  create an extended, exciting piece of writing.

We’re running in-person and online workshops during term on Monday – Thursday for both primary school and high school students.

You wake up on a spaceship. Outside the window, you can see the earth: as big as a ladybug crawling across a window pane … and you immediately start to panic. How did you get here? Where are you headed? And what is a poet doing in the middle of space?!

In this free writing workshop series, participants will assume the role of a poet heading on a solo mission through the solar system. Each week, they will tell a chapter of their story using different forms of poetry—and hopefully make it back home to Earth!
