Bindi Mutiara is a radio broadcaster, DJ, writer, and performer working on Gadigal Country, with extensive experience spanning teaching, communications, mentorship, and cultural programming.
She has held various roles at fbi.radio, including within the Programming team, where she has trained Sydney’s next generation of youth broadcasters and producers. She currently serves as Youth Vice-President on the station’s Management Committee. Bindi has worked in Promotions across press, radio and digital platforms at record label [PIAS] Australia / Inertia Music, and now is at Powerhouse Museum, focusing on volunteer and student community engagement and programs.
Her practice is grounded in a lifelong relationship with storytelling, first nurtured at Story Factory, where she began as a student and participated in the inaugural Novella Program in 2016, publishing her debut work Arden. This foundation continues to nourish and shape her work, with her resonant love for poetry and storytelling threading through every project she creates.
