Dislikes and Likes About Me

Chalk scratching against a board at 9am
machine going brrrr blasting my ears
horns and alarms waking me up
grumpy, in the morning.
The squelch of the mop
when it goes into water

I wonder and I think
about the smell of the grass in the park
all damp when it’s raining
The bang
of when the ball hits the bat
relaxation after school
just laying on your bed watching YouTube
The fumes of perfume touching your body
when you smell like a muddy pig
The warmness of the sun’s rays
hitting my body, early morning
Spending quality time with family, staying up late.
My hometown smells like classic India
looking around seeing people,
seeing my family, meeting them again.
