All workshops are facilitated by our Story Factory Storytellers and provide a safe and supportive space where young people can develop ideas and write. Guided by our expert staff, with support from their fellow writers, young people are empowered to create an extended, exciting piece of writing.
We’re running in-person and online workshops during term on Monday – Thursday for both primary school and high school students.

The universe is a big big big place, but not if you’re famous. There’s nowhere to hide when your zillion adoring fans want to know all about what planet you’re holidaying on, or which spacesuit you’re wearing this summer.
Unless.. you become an expert in blending in! Join us in this workshop to find out how the biggest celebrities in the galaxy hide in plain sight. They’ve got to eat the local food, dress in the local clothes (extra alien limbs not included), and hop from planet to planet in search of a little peace and quiet out there among the stars.

There is more than one way to write a book, but there’s only one way to really get into a character’s head. To almost become them, and imagine living in their world, experiencing their life. Roleplay!
In this workshop, you will imagine you are characters in the same world and story. Each week, new events will unfold that you’ll need to react to, rage against, or rejoice in. You’ll interact with each other, and from those interactions, our story will emerge. Think Wattpad RP, but better!
Great storytelling happens when great minds come together, to make something they couldn’t have created alone. Who are you going to be? Join and find out!
