Last night, I was thrilled and humbled to be named the 2016 NSW Local Hero in the Australian of the Year Awards. I was also extremely surprised, as my fellow nominees are an incredible bunch and would have been excellent winners.

Last week saw some fierce bidding over some truly exquisite pieces of artwork for our Fine Lines art auction, and we’re very excited and incredibly grateful to announce the auction helped to raise $62,000 for the Sydney Story Factory, which will go towards our creative writing programs!

As of right now, Fine Lines is live online! Fine Lines is an exhibition and online auction of artworks inspired by poetry and song, and it’s our major biennial fundraising event.

Our fundraising art exhibition and auction, Fine Lines, goes live online this Friday, 2nd October. This is a truly unique exhibition of artworks inspired or influenced by poetry. More than 45 of Australia’s leading artists have donated an artwork related to a poem. And they're all amazing!
