Help young people in need develop the confidence and skills to build a positive future.
At the Story Factory we run creative writing and storytelling workshops for young people aged 7 to 17. Our focus is young people who are Indigenous, from language backgrounds other than English, from lower socioeconomic backgrounds, or marginalised in other ways. Under the guidance of our expert storytellers, and with the support of volunteer writing tutors, young people are encouraged to unleash their imaginations and write stories of all kinds. They leave with the skills and confidence essential for future success.
BECOME A STORY FACTORY INKWELL
A monthly gift of $30 could change a child's life. Becoming an Inkwell is one of the best ways you can support Story Factory. With a gift of $30 month – less than a dollar a day – you can sponsor a child's place so that every month, one more marginalised young person can attend one of our innovative creative writing workshops.
We'll keep you informed about how your monthly gift is making a difference by sending you quarterly updates, including original writing by the freshly-minted young writers you've inspired. From time to time we'll send you emails sharing the latest news, and inviting you to events. You can cancel at any time, simply by emailing us or sending a letter.
Story Factory is registered as an incorporated entity. We are a public benevolent institution with DGR1 tax status.
All donations of $2 or more are tax deductible, and of course we will automatically send you a tax deductible receipt.
