Gratitude Banners workshop will create a space in which students will be encouraged to think of the ways they are connected to, and grateful for, the community they live in. In these workshops, students will explore different ways of expressing their gratitude. The messages will consider the things students are thankful for now and the things they imagine they will be thankful for in the future. Following the workshops, the students’ writing will be reimagined into gratitude banners that will be affixed to the school fences at each school. Each participating student will also be presented with a bound chapbook style publication of their class’s gratitude writing, further celebrating their achievements.
