A Chance to Win a CASH PRIZE with the Australian Story Telling Guild and What Matters?
The Australian Storytelling Guild is holding writing competitions for students in years 5&6 and 7&8 in all NSW schools. For the NSW State Storytelling Competition, the first prize winner will receive a $300 cash prize; the second prize winner will receive a $200 cash prize; the third prize winner will receive a $100 cash prize! The competition winners will be invited to share the stage with professional storytellers and perform their stories to a family concert audience.

The competition winners will have their stories published on the Australian Storytelling Guild (NSW) website.
There is a $10 entry fee.

What Matters? is a writing competition that gives students in years 5-12 in NSW and the ACT a chance to say what matters to them in society today. There are four categories: years 5&6, years 7&8, years 9&10, and years 11&12.
The first prize winner in each category will have the chance to receive a $350 cash prize; the runner up in each category will have the chance to receive a $200 cash prize! The receiving of the award happens at an awards ceremony.
An overall winner will also be announced, and he or she will receive an iPad!
The years 5&6 and 7&8 winners will also win a full-day creative writing workshop conducted by award-winning author Bernard Cohen
The year 9&10 category will also be invited to spend a day at the Inspire Foundation and meet the ReachOut.com Crew. They will also receive professional training and get the opportunity to earn $200 writing a featured article for the ReachOut.com website.
The year 11&12 winner will also win a $100 book voucher.
