And with that… the inaugural Pen to Paper Challenge is done. When the clock struck midnight last night and the calendar turned to October it was officially over, our challenge complete. Phew!

The collective amount of words set down during September by over 110 participants – and corresponding dollars raised for the Sydney Story Factory – has been simply mind blowing.

We hoped to raise $20,000. In fact we’ve passed $37,000. That is simply amazing, and means we can offer no fewer than 740 places to marginalised children so that they can take part in one of our signature book making or robot bird poetry workshops.

To all our wonderful Pen to Paper Challengees and Ambassadors we say THANK YOU! You’ve been absolutely amazing, done some fantastic writing and earned yourselves a well-deserved break.

And to all those who have chipped in to support them and make the Pen to Paper Challenge such a great success – over 700 of you – we say THANK YOU to you too! You’ve been incredibly generous and we’re hugely grateful.

Together – all of us – we’ll keep the creativity pumping at the Sydney Story Factory and keep changing young lives, one story at a time.
