Be part of The Home Project this Sunday
Are you a young person interested in writing, and finding out more about the Redfern community? Want to help us write a book about it? We’ll be interviewing locals about the time Muhammad Ali came to Redfern, or when the Fugees visited Koori Radio, or the hilarious thing that happened at cousin Phil’s birthday one year.
It’s a fantastic opportunity to develop a connection to this vibrant community, and improve your writing skills at the same time. We’ve got tutors here to help you write, so no special skills required. And your story will end up in the book Home, published in 2014!
We’re here every Sunday from November 3rd until December 8th 2013, with interviews 10am-noon and writing time 1-3pm. All young people aged 7-17 welcome. Snacks provided. For more info, call 9699 6970, email Helen@sydneystoryfactory.org.au or just turn up at the Martian Embassy, 176 Redfern Street, Redfern.
See you there!
