Fine Lines Wrap Up

Fine Lines Wrap Up

06 Oct 2015

Last week saw some fierce bidding over some truly exquisite pieces of artwork for our Fine Lines art auction, and we’re very excited and incredibly grateful to announce the auction helped to raise $62,000 for the Sydney Story Factory, which will go towards our creative writing programs!

An enormous thank you to everyone who bid, and lots of gratitude to those who helped – our volunteer team for organising the show, Damien Minton, Rod Denson at Jim Crofts Studios, Doina Ward, Di Stevens and Yhanni Anthis of Tali Gallery, Neil & Jill Wilson, Seasonal Concepts, Konica Minolta, Gary Erby, Flashpoint Labs, Vine – Providores of Fine Wines, Dan the Man Cooking, and Bryan Hooper of Depot II Galleries. Thanks also to the poets who let us reproduce their work (particularly Carol Jenkins and Omar Musa for directly collaborating with an artist).

And of course the biggest thanks of all to our participating artists: Margaret Ackland, Tony Albert, Narelle Autio, Bronwyn Bancroft, Jason Benjamin, Blak Douglas (aka Adam Hill), GW Bot, Darryl Bowes, Tom Carment, Catherine Cassidy, Luke Cornish, Lucy Culliton, James Drinkwater, Margaret England, Michael Fitzjames, Becky Gibson, Robyn Gordon, Andrew Grant, Samuel Hodge, Heidi Jackson, Locust Jones, Mitchell Kelly, Euan Macleod, Dean Manning, John Martin, Jonathan McBurnie, James McGrath, Nigel Milsom, Ruth Nungarrayi Spencer, Peter O’Doherty, Susan O’Doherty, Denese Oates, Bernard Ollis, Polixeni Papapetrou, James Powditch, Silke Raetze, Hugh Ramage, Leo Robba, Joseph Rolella, Anna Plunkett and Luke Sales of Romance was Born, Linda Jackon, Claire Skehan, Gordon Syron, Ann Thomson, Richard Tipping, Louise Tuckwell, Hil Van Dijk, Bruce Whatley and Neil Wilson.
