Meet our Students of the Month

This group of students from Youth Off The Streets are not receiving this for their beautiful thank you gift, but for the dedication they put into showing up every week, the motivation they worked up to write through some difficult topics, and their strong support of each other through the writing and reading of what turned out to be dramatic, thought-provoking, angry and inspiring protest poetry.

Writing is often the last thing on the minds of some of these students, but they didn’t let that stop them. We were very honoured to have been offered a chance to help these fierce (both in intelligence and character) young people explore their world through rap and poetry, and we can’t wait to work with them again. Thank you, you folks really made this first term special.
