Bookingmaking

Last week the grade six students from Toongabbie Christian School dropped in for a group of bookmaking workshops. Marcia the Librarian whipped them into a literary frenzy. Here’s their start to Surprise at Halftime:
“It was a sunny day at the football stadium and a large crowd was watching the Grand Final. Above the stadium Blibberly Optic was soaring through space when suddenly he began to run out of fuel.

He was so desperate he decided to hit the red button, though his parents had always told him not to. He was thrown out of the spacecraft. He flew through the air and landed between the cheerleaders and the Bulldog mascot. A space scientist was so excited she jumped the fence and ran toward Blibberly.”
